As our new Teacher of Food Technology, you will:
- Lead and develop an innovative Food Technology curriculum across all key stages
- Deliver engaging, practical lessons with a strong focus on safety and creativity
- Plan for students with a wide range of SEND needs, including communication challenges
- Use assessment effectively to track progress and support personalised learning
- Contribute to the wider school community, including tutor responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with a supportive team dedicated to outstanding outcomes
This role would suit either a mainstream teacher with SEN experience or a specialist practitioner already working in SEN settings.
This professional needs to be flexible and fully committed to engaging and maximising the achievement for pupils with Special Educational Needs. This role would suit a qualified teacher with experiences of any key stages within mainstream or SEN education.
This job description incorporates the professional duties of a teacher as set out in the Teacher’s standards. The purpose of the job is to manage and ensure the effective delivery for all educational programmes for students placed at Dawn House School, in line with all statutory requirements and Speech and Language UK policies and procedures.
The closing date for this vacancy is midday Monday, 23rd February 2026 with interviews taking place on Friday, 27th February 2026
