Salary: Grade 5, SCP 8-12: £31,156 - £33,000 dependent on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, Term Time + 5 Staff Training Days + 120 hours during school holidays (42 weeks)

We are seeking to appoint to a brand-new position: Family Engagement Officer to help our dedicated team to strengthen home-school relationships, support attendance and wellbeing and assist our families in navigating systems and services that impact their children’s lives.
What you’ll do:
- Build trusting, respectful relationships with parents and carers.
- Support families in understanding and engaging with EHCPs and support plans.
- Promote attendance and tackle persistent absence with empathy and professionalism.
- Work as part of a multi-agency team including therapists, safeguarding staff, and external professionals.
- Facilitate inclusive parent forums, workshops, and informal support opportunities.
- Champion parent voice and inclusive communication across the school.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience supporting families, ideally in an education or SEN setting, but any relevant experience welcomed.
- A strong understanding of the challenges faced by families of children with severe and complex needs.
- A confident, empathetic communicator who builds positive relationships & maintains professional boundaries.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and family support frameworks.
