Cotswold Chine School, part of Novalis Trust, is a charity that supports children with Neurodevelopmental Difficulties. Youth Support Workers are pivotal in creating and supporting tailored activities for young people. As a Youth Support Worker your personality and creativity will be key in shaping and helping children pursue personal aspirations.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Encouraging young people to engage in a variety of clubs and offsite trips.
- Planning, organising, and running half term programmes.
(All of which promote social development)

Requirements for the role:
The role would ideally suit someone with previous experience in sports coaching/ young people’s mentoring/ performing arts/creative activities;
or
who holds a qualification in Psychology/Sports and Exercise /Sports Coaching/ Youth and Community/Working with Children & Families.
or

Successful candidates will have:
- A motivated, creative, and empathetic approach
- Enthusiasm to work with and support the development of young people
- Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities with young people
- Confidence to contribute and collaborate with the youth support team and wider care team
- A keenness to learn and implement Trauma Informed Practice
- Previous experience in working with children and young people is desired
- Driving licence – desired
