New College Worcester is a nationally regarded non-maintained special school, devoted to the education of vision impaired young people aged 11 – 19. We are seeking to appoint the following member for the Care team for September 2021:
JOB TITLE: WAKING NIGHT STAFF / PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANTS
SALARY: Scale 3, SCP 5-6 (£19,312 – £19,698fte). Pro rata salary will be calculated according to hours worked and term time only.
We are looking for a team of staff to provide a high standard of care to blind and vision impaired students in a proficient and sensitive manner that will enhance their academic and social development.
You will be responsible for the care of students in the Sixth Form residential unit. The security of the Hostel/House and its residents, fire prevention, providing an orderly environment for sleep to take place and dealing with medical and emotional matters to a level at which you feel capable and confident. Effective oral and writing communication with colleagues.
