Sunfield Specialist School and Children’s Home is located in the beautiful Clent Hills, West Midlands.

Sunfield provides innovative and experiential education, inspired by Rudolf Steiner, William Morris and John Ruskin, and supports young people (6 – 19 years) with complex learning needs, including autism and pathological demand avoidance (PDA).

Teaching Assistant

Salary range: £19,167.84 – £20,026.29

Actual Salary £15,232- £16,872

(dependant on experience and qualifications)

full-time equivalent (35 hours per week/40 weeks per year)

This role includes an additional Responsibility Allowance of Up to £1,500

This is a part-time position and working hours will be 8.30am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.

This role includes a Welcome Bonus of £1500 (subject to Tax/NI) after successful completion of the

6-month probation period.

We are looking to appoint teaching assistants to work closely with students, to support and facilitate their learning, progress and wellbeing in a range of learning environments. In particular, you will support children and young people through the delivery of individually tailored educational and therapeutic programmes, as well as assisting students with their daily independent living skills and personal care. The successful candidate will be someone wishing to work in this field or a qualified TA with experience in the classroom, working with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN).

Prospective candidates should be able to demonstrate:
