We are seeking an experienced therapist to join the Speech and Language Therapy department in this progressive school.

You will manage a varied caseload of pupils with complex needs and comorbid diagnoses, so a keen interest in developing a holistic approach to therapy with young people who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties is essential. The majority of pupils have a diagnosis of ASD and communicate verbally. The role will involve working in the classroom alongside teaching staff, as well as working with individuals or small groups. Duties will also include providing training, advice and strategies to staff and families.

We seek someone who can generate enthusiasm and develop the potential of pupils who may have experienced frustration and/or trauma during the early years of their education. You will be willing to contribute to other curriculum areas and extra-curriculum activities outside the department. You must be HCPC registered. In return, we offer excellent support from colleagues and staff, clinical supervision, commitment to CPD, and access to internal and external training.

For further information and to apply, please visit www.wkrs.co.uk or contact Mrs R Kennedy, Business Manager, at the school on 0151 632 3201. For an informal discussion or to arrange a visit, please contact Mrs N Tolley, Head of Clinical Services.

Closing date: Tuesday 23rd April 2019.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to rigorous recruitment checks.
