EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR A SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST
Do you want the chance to enhance the lives of young people with SLCN? We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our team where you will work directly with young people and see the difference that speech and language therapy can make.
St Catherine’s is a non-maintained specialist SLCN school supporting students between the ages of 7 and 19 with a range of speech, language and communication needs. The school offers students the opportunity to develop their skills, abilities and confidence to achieve more than they ever thought possible despite their difficulties. To be part of their journey is a highly rewarding experience especially knowing you have been part of their success.
Therapists provide a high level of individual and group intervention so it’s the perfect opportunity to develop exceptional clinical skills with both in-depth assessment and clinical intervention. It’s a rare opportunity to work directly with students and deliver therapy on a regular basis! As well as being part of a supportive team, you will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team of teachers, SaLTs, OTs, learning support assistants and care staff, with class groups, smaller groups and with individual children.
We offer a high level of clinical supervision and support and comprehensive CPD to enable you to be the best therapist you can be.
If you believe you can help our students to fulfil their potential at school, at home and in their communities and are looking for a fresh challenge or getting started on your career, then this role may be just what you are looking for.
Applications are welcomed from newly qualified or experienced practitioners. Full and part time positions are available.
Applicants should be highly motivated and passionate about supporting students with SLCN to access education and to develop their functional communication skills.
Applicants must be registered with HCPC and RCSLT and have experience or an interest in working with;
- Children with complex communication difficulties
- Learning difficulties
- ASD, ADHD and social communication difficulties
- The implementation of AAC including signing.
We can offer comprehensive supervision and CPD, full school holidays and working in a beautiful location near the sea with our fantastic students.
Salary details: Starting at £25,042.56 per annum but salary will be commensurate with experience. Relocation package available.
