Sheridan School offers an integrated program of education and therapy for young people with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, compounded by complex learning difficulties such as Autism, Attachment Disorder and Mixed Neuro Developmental Disorders.
We currently have a vacancy within our Teaching Team for a Qualified Primary Teacher.
The successful candidate will be required to lead a group (maximum of 6 in group) of Year 4 upwards students in a ‘Primary model’ setting. You will be able to plan, deliver and assess a range of subjects, including Mathematics, English, PSHE and Humanities.
The majority of learners will be generally working below age expectancy. You will be supported by a dedicated Learning Support Assistant and subjects such as Food Technology, Design Technology and PE will be delivered by specialist teaching staff.
The post requires someone with a depth of knowledge across a range of subjects, resilience, an ability to instil boundaries and possess a nurturing and empathetic nature.
