Sheridan School offers an integrated programme of education and therapy for young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, compounded by complex disorders including Autism. Age range for students is from year 4 to year 11 and the school is comprised of Primary, Secondary and ASD provisions.
We currently have a vacancy within our Teaching Team for a Qualified Teacher, with the skills to deliver KS3 and KS4 Mathematics up to and including GCSE. The ability and knowledge to deliver other subjects is desirable, although not mandatory.
The post will ideally suit an experienced Mathematics teacher who is conversant with the new GCSE curriculum and can deliver this effectively to learners who can sometimes exhibit challenging behaviours. The candidate will be able to think creatively, plan and deliver lessons to students who have historically struggled to engage positively in a mainstream environment.
