Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator

37 hours a week, 52 weeks a year

(a 42 week post would be considered for the right candidate)

Very occasional weekend work will be required to attend recruitment fairs/networking

Salary range: £24,870-£27,294 pa (25 days holiday plus statutory public holidays per year)

If so, we have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and approachable person to join our HR recruitment team, to take the lead on advertising and finding us the best channels to sell the benefits of working at St Joseph’s Trust, whilst working as an administrator to ensure that essential safer recruitment practises are followed.

Ideally we are looking for applicants who have previously worked in recruitment and would like to work in a different environment, bringing in much valued staff to work with our vulnerable children and young people.   However, although ideally you should have experience in advertising or recruitment, we would welcome applications from candidates who have recently left college or university having studied a relevant business or sales and marketing course, full of initiative, organised and able work well to deadlines looking for a job which uses your training.

Reporting to the Director of HR, you will take the lead on all aspects of advertising vacancies, sourcing and analysing appropriate cost effective advertising methods, monitoring recruitment needs and providing updates to the senior leadership team.

As well as taking the lead on advertising this job involves working closely with our Recruitment Administrator (Application Lead) who leads on safer recruitment administration.  You will be jointly responsible for recruitment and must ensure that candidates are recruited under safer recruitment guidelines and all paperwork and records are maintained in a timely manner.  Working with your colleague, you will be required to screen applicants, run background checks, schedule interviews and eventually complete job offers including working with HR and payroll to produce contracts therefore attention to detail and the confidence to deal with internal and external stakeholders of all levels. You will also be required to seek out, organise and attend recruitment fairs and relevant networking events throughout the year.  For a full list of responsibilities, please refer to the job profile

We are a registered charitable trust comprising a special needs school, college, registered children’s home and adult supported living houses.  Our school and college students are age 5-19 with severe and complex social communication and learning disabilities. Every member of our 280 staff plays a part in making a positive contribution to the lives of our students and tenants.  Students may visit the office so compassion, patience and empathy for their needs is vital. If you are recruited, you will be required to complete Team Teach positive behaviour support training as part of your induction before employment.*

Office based, hours of work during term time are: 8.30am – 4:30pm each day of the week with a 4:00pm finish on Friday (with ½ hour unpaid break each day) plus some weekend working to attend recruitment fairs and networking events which will allow for further flexibility/overtime. Some flexibility is possible over the hours to be worked during the School holidays.

Your own transport is desirable due to the rural location of the Trust however, we are very close to the town centre and a 20 min walk from bus stops providing buses from Horsham, Godalming and Guildford.
