Head of Finance, Sheiling School, Thornbury

Sheiling School, Thornbury is seeking an enthusiastic and committed

Candidates must have excellent leadership skills, be educated to degree level or equivalent and must have a recognised professional accounting qualification with a thorough practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques. The ideal candidate will also have experience of charity accounting (desirable). As a member of the Sheiling School Senior Leadership Team, responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and providing relevant financial information to ensure the effective running of Sheiling School
  • Providing high quality support to the CEO in planning and controlling the work of Sheiling School and the Charity
  • Working closely with the Heads of HR, Resource, Fundraising and Development

Competitive Salary
37.5 hours per week
6.6 weeks paid holiday which includes an allowance for Bank Holidays

Sheiling School in Thornbury, South Glos. is a residential Camphill Rudolf Steiner School for children with learning difficulties aged 6 to 19 and is part of the charity Thornleigh Camphill Communities. Our beautiful grounds on the edge of the town encompass several residential houses for children and adults, a school building, indoor and outdoor craft workshops and a swimming pool.
