Permanent (Full Time)

37.5 Hours per week – Monday to Friday

Salary range: £34,373 – £38,553 (NJC 30-34) pay award pending

Start date – ASAP, subject to satisfactory recruitment checks being completed

Wargrave House Limited operates a 38 weekly day non-maintained special school and independent specialist college for 5 to 25 year olds.  We have an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding education and care to autistic individuals.

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Finance Manager to provide strategic and general financial management support to the organisation.  This is a key role, supporting the Head of Business Resources with financial planning and budgeting and leading the day to day financial operations, including the setting and production of timely and accurate management accounts.

The successful applicant will be

  • Qualified or part qualified (e.g. CIPFA, AAT, ACCA, CIMA),
  • Preferable have experience of managing educational or charity finances.
  • Able to problem solve and work effectively with all peers within the charity
  • An excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Able to lead a small team, and provide clear technical advice and guidance to people at all levels.

The post holder must also possess a strong understanding of accounting processes and standards as set out in the Charities SORP and be able to interpret and analyse complex data to identify trends and anticipate concerns.
