Full Time Permanent Positions

Positions are available for teachers at our trauma-informed schools.

Novalis Trust has opportunities at Cotswold Chine school (ages 7-19) for suitably qualified teachers or ECTs.

We are a supportive team who welcome teachers from all backgrounds and levels of experience looking to begin a career in special educational needs teaching. We specialise in trauma-informed, attachment-focused relationship based, therapeutic approach to teaching.

Experience in special needs is not essential as training will be provided. The ability to form relationships with young people, reliability, resilience, and a flexible approach to working with others are important.

At our schools the successful candidate will teach and nurture a small class group of 4-8 students and with an experienced co-teacher. The co-teacher usually plays a mentor role for new teaching staff when they first join the school before forming a longer-term partnership to teach their assigned class.

We have positions within KS2, 3, 4 and 5 as well as some opportunities to teach as a specialist, within PE for example. All applications will be considered on an individual basis, and we highly recommend visiting us so that we can work with you to consider where you would fit within the schools.

If you value being part of a team, are keen to learn about trauma and attachment and would like to play a role in supporting students to overcome early life challenges to achieve personalised outcomes then this is the opportunity for you.

Starting Salary £23,569 (ECT). Teachers with relevant experience will be placed at the appropriate level of the pay scale.
