Talbot House Children’s Charity are looking to recruit additional full time Senior Residential Childcare Workers (SRCWs) to join our team.

The role of our SRCWs is to support the Registered Manager with the effective and efficient running of our 5-bedroom home. Our staff help us to provide security and stability for the young people, enabling the young people to achieve positive change in their lives.

You can earn a very competitive £33,481.23 per annum or more, including sleep allowance, this includes a basic salary of £27,721.23 per annum (which rises further to £28,613.10 per annum following successful probationary period and rises further to 29,857.15 per annum with length of service). You can earn an average £5,760.00 per annum, sleep allowance, based on 8 sleeps per month.

Sleep-ins paid an extra £60 per sleep shift.

Overtime is paid at an enhanced rate of one and one half (1.5 rate) for all hours worked over 162.5 hours per month. Overtime is not included in the above salary details. This means that your earning potential is likely to increase further than the salaries stated above. With overtime our Senior staff can earn over £37,500.00 per annum depending on how many additional hours they wish to work.

Hours are 162.5 hours per month (based on an average of 37.5 per month). Rota’s are completed in advance, and we work on a rolling rota (where possible) so that you will know when you are working in advance.

You must hold a full, manual driving licence to apply for this role as travel with our young people is essential, therefore, we require confident drivers to drive our company vehicles and ideally have their own vehicle with business insurance.
