Salary: NJC Grade 3-4, Scale Points 5-7: £24,083.39 – £24,818.45 per annum actual dependent on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week as follows: - Monday 8.30am – 4.30pm, Tuesday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.00pm, Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm Term Time Only + 5 Staff Training Days

We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Level 2 Special Support Assistants to work alongside class teachers, assisting the children and young people with their work and supporting with student behaviour whilst establishing effective relationships with both students and staff.

You will be someone who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages acting as a role model and responding to individual needs. Ideally you may have had experience of supporting students with severe learning difficulties and complex needs.

We are looking for people who want to make a difference and be part of an inspiring and creative team whilst assisting students in their learning.

Successful applicants will have:

  • Experience of supporting children and young people with SEN.
  • A caring approach to working with children and young people.
  • The ability and willingness to support students with a range of needs.
  • Creativity and flexibility within the learning environment.
  • Confidence to share skills and ideas with others in the team.
  • Good communication skills with a positive outlook.
