NASS will be hosting this Safer Recruitment Refresher training event on 9th March 2020 at NCVO, Regents Wharf, 8 All Saints St, London, N1 9RL.

This session looks at the arrangements schools must have in place to comply with KCSiE part 3. The content of the session presumes a working knowledge of safer recruitment & vetting checks.
Please note that this course is not a replacement for full Safer Recruitment training, although it will be a suitable refresher for delegates that have previously completed Safer Recruitment.
Delegates who can evidence that they have previously completed the full Safer Recruitment Consortium training (for example via NASS) may bring their certificate with them on the day to receive a Consortium ‘refresher’ certificate as well as the usual certificate of attendance.
To update schools on key elements of the safer recruitment and vetting process, including maintenance of the single central record, following changes to statutory guidance & regulations.
At the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
- implement the changes to safer recruitment described in Keeping children safe in education part 3
- amend practice and procedures in the light of the ‘Disqualification under the Childcare Act’ 2006 (Regs 2018) and GDPR
- fulfil their operational or strategic responsibilities in relation to the single central record
About the Presenter:
Carolyn is a highly experienced and skilled trainer in the field of child protection and safeguarding. She has already run a very successful training programmes for Designated Teachers and Safer Recruitment within our sector and will work closely with NASS to ensure that this course meets our needs.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Certificates will be issued at the end of the event.
