Overview of the course:
This bespoke course helps structure and approach supervision using an established supervision model to enable supervisors to empower staff and focus on the experience and progress of children and young people in their care. It is tailored to the specific needs of the organisation.

Designed by highly experienced senior managers, the course addresses key dilemmas in balancing the needs of the organisation, the employee and the young people to create a different kind of conversation which both supervisees and supervisors find effective.

Learning outcomes, attendees will:

  • Understand the principles behind supervision models.
  • Recognise and apply reflective supervision.
  • Undertake dynamic risk assessment during supervision.
  • Create clear, focused and reviewable plans and action

This course is for anyone currently providing or planning to provide robust high-quality supervision to others. From head teachers, principles, deputy heads to senior DSL’s this course covers the theory and practical infrastructure needed to ensure safeguarding supervision is embedded into any organisation.

About the presenter:
Kat Aukett on behalf of Dialogue will be delivering this session. Kat has almost 30 years’ experience in the care sector and has worked across most settings for young people, including residential care, health, charities and children’s social care. About this event:
As this is a virtual training event you will require audio/visual capability i.e. desktop with webcam plus headphones and a microphone or laptop/device with microphone and camera.  Delegates will be required to have their camera on at all times during the training.

Cancellations

  • 50% of delegate fee will be refunded for cancellations received by 2nd June 2025
  • After this date no fees are refundable for cancellation or non-attendance.
  • All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by email.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a course due to insufficient numbers.
  • In the unlikely event that NASS has to cancel an event, our liability in the event of cancellation is limited to a full refund of the event fee only.
