Following our Menopause Awareness for All webinar in May with Still Human, we are excited to collaborate with them once again for a dedicated menopause session tailored for women leaders in education.
This session is for women only leaders. It is a safe-space and a chance to share lived experiences, ask questions, learn from each other and discover strategies to help you feel well whilst leading well.
This session is facilitated by Menopause Champions but relies on everyone contributing, so come along ready to share (as much or as little as you like!).
About the facilitators
The session will be facilitated by Julie Liddell and Tracy White.
About Julie
Julie is the Managing Director of Still Human and has over 25 years experience of teaching Psychology, along with an enthusiasm for sharing simple, effective ways to improve wellbeing. Having worked in the post-16 sector both as a teacher and a Senior Manager, Julie has a genuine understanding of the current challenges facing education. Julie founded Still Human as she believes that when staff health and wellbeing is nurtured, it positively impacts both the individual and the whole school community.
Still Human is part of the educational support services organisation, The Edwin Group and delivers workshops on a wide range of topics including Stress Management, Mindfulness, the Menopause and Rest, as well as delivering Wellbeing Champion and Menopause Ambassador training.
Julie has worked with staff in many settings from Primary through to FE and has found that whilst staff in education are undoubtedly superhumans, they are still human nonetheless. In her workshops she shares evidence-based knowledge and engaging practical strategies, all designed to make being a human a little easier.
About Tracy
Tracy White has worked in Primary Education for over 20 years as a Headteacher, senior leader and teacher. She was Safeguarding Lead for over 15 years, specialising in working in schools in areas of high deprivation, raising outcomes for disadvantaged children as well as improving wellbeing and cultural capital opportunities for the children and families she has served.
Tracy has in-depth personal and professional experience of the huge challenges of working in the education sector and has a deep-seated belief that nurturing staff wellbeing has not only a positive impact on the happiness of school staff but that it also seeps into the bones of the whole school community. It is as simple as: Happy staff = happy children = a love of learning!
