New guidance was published yesterday on supporting children and young people’s mental health and well-being:
It is general advice, primarily aimed at parents / carers, that will be familiar to most of you. It includes paragraphs on learning disability and autism, though your existing knowledge is likely to be much more detailed. It also includes links to guidance on looking after your own mental health, and while we know it’s hard to find time for this, it’s a good reminder to prioritise this, to keep yourselves well enough to support those around you.
I hope that we may see further guidance on vulnerable children in education settings later this week but this will be ‘evolution not revolution’ as far as we can tell at the moment.
