Head of Residential Services
Salary £48,024 - £53,803 plus support with temporary accommodation or relocation costs.
You should have NVQ Level 4 in Care or a Diploma in Social Work, or be able to demonstrate competence and a willingness to study for an appropriate qualification.
You will be a member of the Senior Leadership Group and be responsible for the effective leadership, management and organisation of every aspect of the residential services across both School and College in accordance with the National Minimum Standards that apply to Residential Special Schools. Duties will include the management of staff, performance and budgets.
The position may suit a previous Head of Care, Headteacher or other professional with considerable experience in residential care at senior level.

We are setting the standard in teaching and learning for SEN. Sunfield is a registered charity and a 52-week independent residential special school looking to make two appointments: a Principal and a Head of Education to continue our pioneering work.
We improve life chances for children with severe learning difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Our aim is to prepare them for transition from our care.
Our innovative approach has gained international recognition, and many children come to us with increasingly complex disabilities following prior placements.

Principal
You will provide strategic leadership for Sunfield by working collaboratively with the strategic leadership team. A dynamic team builder who can work with education, care psychology and therapies staff, you will create outstanding opportunities for students through an integrated approach to learning. Substantial knowledge of leadership within an SEN environment is essential, along with an interest in research and development.
Head of Education (designated Headteacher)
An enthusiastic and outstanding teacher, you will innovate and lead the development of teaching and learning working in collaboration with other members of the senior leadership team. You will motivate staff by demonstrating expertise of working with children with complex learning needs, and inspire colleagues to use best practice. A track record in SEN is essential.
