This will be held at The Higher Education Academy Building, Innovation Way, York Science Park,

The JISC TechDis mission is to support the education sector in achieving greater accessibility and inclusion by stimulating innovation and providing expert advice and guidance on disability and technology. This Technology Information Day aims to introduce NASS members to the availability and simple use of every day technologies which can transform teaching and learning, saving teachers time and giving learners more engaging experiences.
This day will inspire you to
- make better use of the technology you already know - example, using Word to create interactive learning resources or using PowerPoint to make resources for mobile phones;
- learn about simple, free software tools that can make you more productive or support your learners more effectively;
- try out free software that allows you to create professional quality interactive learning resources without knowing any programming;
- see how mobile devices ranging from phones to gaming platforms can make learning come alive;
- find out how the JISC TechDis ITQ in accessible IT practice can train your staff and help accredit skills as they develop them.
This is a "hands on" event. Attendees should bring their mobile phone/laptop/notebook to enable their participation. Programme for the day can be found here.
